Taking Supercars to rural communities is at the heart of Matt Stone Racing's visit to Bunbury, following a successful tour of Canberra.

In the lead-up to the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint, MSR will give the rural Western Australia town of Bunbury a taste of Supercars for the first time.

The team's transporter will make a detour on its journey to Perth, with both Chevrolet Camaros to be on show at Retravision Bunbury on Wednesday May 15 from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Fans will also have the chance to meet the team's drivers, 2011 Bathurst winner Nick Percat and rising star Cameron Hill, who will continue with Supaglass branding in Perth.

Bunbury, which has a population of 76,000, is located two hours south of Perth.

Four of the team’s major sponsors, GeoTech Australia, Retravision, MGM Bulk and Emerge Office, are also based in WA, making the Bunbury trip doubly special.

It comes after MSR toured Hill's native Canberra earlier in the year, with the #4 Camaro completing a number of activations and demonstrations, notably a run on Canberra Airport's runways.

“We are really excited to be making a stopover in Bunbury on the way over to Perth, it’s pretty unique,” team owner Stone explained.

“Over the past year, our WA team partner group has grown with GeoTech Australia joining Retravision, MGM Bulk and Emerge Office as part of the MSR family.

“Of course, we only get to visit them once a year when the Perth event comes around, so it will be nice to have everyone together again.

“A Supercar has never visited Bunbury before, so it’s pretty special to be able to give the community a little taste of what we do.”

Percat and Hill are sixth and 16th in the standings heading to Perth. Tickets for the Perth event are on sale now. International viewers can follow all the action on Superview.
